Audio software rooted in craft
Shortwav Labs was founded on a simple belief: the best tools come from people who use them. We are a small, independent studio where every plugin and module is designed, coded, and tested by working musicians and engineers — people who spend real hours in front of DAWs and modular rigs.
Our products focus on texture, movement, and expression. Where most processors are precision instruments, ours are designed to surprise — to give you something slightly unexpected, slightly alive. Tapestry blurs the line between sample and synthesis. ReGrandy turns grain density into a compositional parameter.
We also believe professional-grade tools should have an accessible entry point. That's why our VCV Rack modules are free and open-source — a way to contribute to the modular community and put the same DSP ideas in the hands of anyone with a computer.
