Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Shortwav Labs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and purchase our products.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, make a purchase, or contact support. This includes your name, email address, and billing details. We also collect certain technical information automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to operate and improve our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process orders and deliver purchased licenses, to provide customer support, to send transactional emails (receipts, license keys, download links), and to improve our products and website. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
3. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by third-party providers (Stripe and PayPal). We never store your full credit card number or CVV on our servers. Your billing address may be retained for fraud prevention and tax compliance purposes.
4. License Activation Data
To enforce license limits (up to 3 simultaneous activations), we store a record of the machines on which a license has been activated. This includes a non-personally-identifiable hardware fingerprint. This data is only used for license management and is deleted when a license is deactivated or revoked.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your session when you are signed in. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from signing in to your account.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance (e.g., purchase records for tax purposes, which are kept for 7 years).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to request a portable copy. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services: Stripe and PayPal for payment processing, and a transactional email provider to send order confirmations and support replies. Each of these providers processes only the data necessary for their specific function.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS for all data in transit and encrypted storage for sensitive fields. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website before the change takes effect. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Contact
For any privacy-related questions or requests, please contact us at [email protected] or through the support form on our website.
